These are starting ranges, not universal garment specifications. Measure the actual printable area before ordering.
A full front or full back design typically starts in a larger range, while a standard front design or a left-chest logo uses a smaller area. Use the quick reference chart above as a starting point, and adjust based on the actual garment and artwork.
Larger designs generally start around 11–14 in wide.
A common everyday size for a centered chest design starts around 9–10 in wide.
Smaller logo placements typically start around 3–4 in.
Youth and toddler garments have a smaller printable area than adult garments, so sizing shouldn't simply be scaled down from an adult chart. Check the actual garment before choosing a size.
The printable area on a hoodie can be affected by the front pocket. Measure the space above or around the pocket for your intended placement before ordering.
Sleeve designs are typically narrow and vertical, while left-chest logos are small and compact. Measure the specific placement area on the garment rather than relying on a general estimate.
If you have one design at a specific width and height, order it directly through Custom DTF Transfers by Size. Double-check your artwork proportions before placing the order.
If you have several designs or placements to print at once, a gang sheet can combine them onto a single sheet. You can create a DTF gang sheet or upload a DTF gang sheet if your file is already print-ready.
If you are unsure which transfer size fits your garment or placement, contact DTF Print House before ordering. Include the garment type, garment size, intended print location and artwork dimensions so the team can review the question.
